Police respond to “shots fired call” in Crowley

Crowley Police responded to a shooting incident in the 100 block of Avenue E in Acadia Parish on Saturday night.

Despite what rumors say, the shooting was not on the Rice Festival fairgrounds; police confirmed in a statement made on Facebook, stating that the shooting was "NOT ON THE RICE FESTIVAL FAIRGROUNDS!!!"

According to police, no injuries were reported as of now. We have reached out to Crowley Police for further details. This is a developing story.
