Police executed arrest warrant for male suspect in Rayne

RAYNE, La. (ENN) -- Acadia Parish Sheriff's Office executed a warrant for arrest Wednesday afternoon in Acadia Parish, sources say.

The warrant execution occured in the 6100 block of Standard Mill Road in Rayne. Sources say that the arrest warrant was for Demoine Declouette, 46, of Rayne. Declouette has previously been arrested by the Rayne Police Department in May for an armed robbery charge.

Declouette attempted to hide in an attic of a residence, however, police were able to enter the residence and apprehend Declouette. He was arrested on multiple charges for violations of a restraining order, telephone harassment, and one count of aggravated obstruction of a highway, sources say.

No one was injured.
