LAFAYETTE, La (ENN) -- The Lafayette Police Department are investigating a pedestrian incident that occurred in the 3700 block of Ambassador Caffery Pkwy.
The pedestrian in this fatal accident has been identified as Wilton S. Miller, 62, of Alexandria, La.

Police say the Miller was, for unknown reasons, walking in the middle of the northbound lane on Ambassador Caffery when he was struck.
The driver of the vehicle that struck Miller was proven sober, and was cited for seat belt and window tint violation.
The 3700 block of Ambassador Caffery was closed for normal flow of traffic for at least two hours when officers were investigating on scene but the roadway is now open.
