One killed in major vehicle crash in Lafayette

One person has died following a major vehicle crash, involving two motorcyclist, bicyclist, and an automobile, in Lafayette on Sunday evening.

Taylan Broussard, 22 of Lafayette, died in the crash.

The multiple vehicle crash occurred in the 500 block of Foreman Drive around 6:19pm on Sunday evening. Broussard was pronounced dead at the scene. 2 other individuals were transported to a local hospital; one still remains in critical condition at this time.

The Lafayette Police Department’s traffic division is investigating the crash. The roadway on Foreman Drive, between West Congress Street and McDonald Street was closed while officers worked the scene, however, the roadway has since been opened.
