Man wanted after traffic stop leads to pursuit in Acadia Parish

CHURCH POINT, La (EVEN) - Church Point Police Department has issued arrest warrants for a man after fleeing a traffic stop, leading to a pursuit by police.

Tory Chad Talbott, 36, was pulled over by officers on December 20, 2023 in the evening hours. After an officer ran a check on Talbott and confirmed he was driving under suspension, Talbott fled in the vehicle ensuing a pursuit.

Officers pursued the vehicle until entering the Rayne city limits, where the pursuit was then called off to prevent injury to innocent civilians.

Warrants were then issued and granted for Talbott's arrest. Anyone who can help in locating Talbott is urged to contact the Church Point Police Department, or your local Police Department, at 337-684-5455.
