Lafayette High School on lock down due to a social media threat

Lafayette High School is currently under lockdown.


Lafayette Police said that the reason for the lockdown is due to a threat that was made on social media, and lockdown is only precautionary. Lafayette Police is on the scene.


The threat was made on a newly created Twitter account, called @hatelhs. The tweet stated, “I’m tired of Lafayette high school and I’m here to retaliate. Tomorrow evening at 12:16 pm I’m killing," then listing multiple students and teachers. “I wanna kill my mom! I wanna kill my dad! I wanna kill my grandmaaaa."
