Female pedestrian killed after being struck by vehicle in Lafayette

Lafayette, LA – Lafayette Police responded to major vehicle crash involving a female pedestrian. The crash occurred in the 1600 block of Bertrand Drive around 6:49 p.m. Ada Davis, 66 y/o of Lafayette, was killed in the crash.

Davis was in the middle of the roadway in the 1600 block of Bertrand Drive when a vehicle was traveling northbound in the inside lane. The passenger side mirror of the vehicle struck the pedestrian.

Intoxication or impairment is not suspected in the crash. The investigation is ongoing.
