Vehicle fire on I-10 East near Scott; firemen on scene

LAFAYETTE PARISH, LA (EVEN News): Fire officials and police are on the scene of a vehicle fire on I-10 Eastbound, in between Duson and Scott.

Duson Police tells EVEN News that they are assisting the fire departments with shutting down I-10 Eastbound lanes as crews work the fire.

Heavy congestion has already begun. Motorists are being asked to avoid the area. An expected amount of time for the closure is not available as of now.
