LAFAYETTE PARISH, LA (EVEN NEWS)- Duson Police responded to a crash involving a tractor truck on the exit ramp of Interstate 10 Westbound at Mile Marker 92 (Duson). The crash occured not long after 2:00am Friday morning.
The driver of the truck, Rodolfo Guajardo of Edinburg, Texas, was attempting to exit I-10 in his 2007 Peterbuilt Tractor, which was hauling 7 vehicles, when the truck flipped due to Guajardo driving at a higher speed than the weight of the cargo would allow.
According to Duson Police, it was determined that there was a 325 ft. distance from where the truck initially left the roadway to final rest, which was considered evidence of high speed. Four wreckers were used to clean the scene and the exit ramp was closed for 4 hours.
No one recieved any major injuries. Guajardo was issued a citation for careless operation.
