Vehicle crash in Eunice leaves one man dead

EUNICE, La (ENN) – Police responded to a vehicle crash on LA Hwy 3116, near Donna Lane, in Eunice on early-Friday morning.

John C. Ledoux Jr., 79, of Eunice was killed in the crash.

Ledoux was driving a 2011 Mitsubishi Outlander southbound on LA 3116. For reasons still under investigation, the Outlander exited the roadway to the left. Upon doing so, the Outlander entered a ditch and struck a culvert.  

Ledoux was unrestrained and suffered fatal injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene by the Acadia Parish Coroner’s Office.   

Impairment is unknown, and a toxicology sample was obtained for analysis. This crash remains under investigation.
