Two 18-wheelers collide in Duson on Friday morning

Emergency responders received a call at 6:26am on Friday morning regarding two 18 wheelers that had collided on Austria Road at the I-10 east bound off ramp in Duson.

Police say that a 2023 Kentwood tractor, pulling a trailer, had failed to yield to 2007 International Tractor, which was also pulling a trailer, which was north bound on Austria Road. The two then collided.

The driver of the Kentwood truck, identified as Rafael Cardenas from Imperial, California, was cited for careless operation with an accident. No one was injured in the crash.
