Thursday evening vehicle crash on I-49

First responders responded to a two-vehicle crash on I-49 at Mile Marker 8 (north of Carencro).

Two vehicles were traveling north on I-49 when they crashed into each other. Reports say that one of the vehicles involved "skidded upside down for at least 100 yards," leading investigators to believe that speed was a factor in the cause of the crash.

Officials tell us that a third vehicle went into a ditch near the accident to avoid the crash.

Only minor injuries were reported. No one was transported to a hospital.
