ACADIANA, La (ENN)-- School districts in Acadiana are closing due to the forecasted severe weather headed for Acadiana on Wednesday. Below is a list of districts that have announced their statuses:
ACADIA PARISH: All schools in Acadia Parish will be closed on Wednesday. Students that were on morning bus routes will be re-routed back home. The school system apologizes for any inconveniences, but says the closure is being made out of an abundance of caution.
LAFAYETTE PARISH: "At this time, we intend to remain open."
ST. LANDRY PARISH: All St. Landry parish schools will be closed on Wednesday.
EVANGELINE PARISH: All Evangeline Parish schools will be closed on Wednesday.
JEFF DAVIS PARISH: All Jeff Davis parish schools will be closed on Wednesday.
CALCASIEU PARISH: All Calcasieu parish schools will be closed on Wednesday.
DIOCESE OF LAFAYETTE: Some Diocese catholic schools will be closed on Wednesday, and some will be dismissing early. Check with your school.
