Reports of heavy police presence on Ambassador Caffery overpass

LAFAYETTE, La (ENN) -- Reports are coming in regarding a heavy police presence at the Ambassador Caffery overpass near Hwy 90 (Cameron Steeet) on Thursday afternoon.

There is no information at this time that can account for the police presence, however, the roadway was closed for a short period of time.

Unconfirmed reports claim that a individual was attempting to "jump off the bridge." Some have even claimed to have seen an individual, whom was shirtless, "in distress." We have reached out to police for further information and this link will be updated when that information is available.
