SCOTT, LA (EVEN) — After over four decades as one of Acadiana’s premier nightlife destination, Cowboy’s Nightclub in Scott will officially close its doors the weekend of July 27, 2025.
“For over 45 years Cowboy’s Nightclub [has] been Acadiana’s premier nightclub,” the Bacque family announced. “With great regret the nightclub will be closing its doors Saturday 7/27/25 with Dustin Sonnier. We will host a benefit Sunday 7/28/25 and close our doors after that day.”
The announcement marks the end of an era for the legendary country nightclub, which has hosted thousands of locals and visitors since its founding. Owned and operated by the Bacque family, Cowboy’s became a beloved gathering spot known for its live music, dancing, and welcoming environment.
“Cowboy’s Nightclub and the Bacque family would like [to] thank every employee for their hard work over the years,” the statement continues. “Also thank you to everyone who came to dance, party, and have a good time making long lasting memories.”
The club’s owner, the late Larry Bacque, was remembered for his heartfelt approach to hospitality. “Cowboys owner Larry Bacque had a unique way of making people ‘feel at home’ when they would come to [the] club. His legacy as one of the best nightclub owners in the state of Louisiana will last forever.”
The family is inviting the community to attend the final weekend celebration and to honor the decades of good times shared inside the iconic venue. “We invite everyone out this Saturday to share your memories of all the good times at the club,” the family wrote. “Thank you Acadiana for over 45 years of good times with good friends.”
