Police investigating home invasions in Acadia Parish

Acadia Parish Sheriff's deputies responded to two home invasions near Mire on Friday.


One of the homes was on Grand Praire Hwy in Mire.. The suspects entered the home through the back door. One resident was home at the time of the break in, but the resident was not injured.


The second home was on Norman Venable Lane near Mire Hwy. According to a source, nothing was taken from the home. No one was injured.


Sources confirm to EVEN News that there was two suspects; both are black males, one with dreadlocks. Both suspects were in a White Chrysler 300 vehicle. It is believed that there was another suspect as the driver, but we have not confirmed that yet.


According to the Acadia Parish Sheriff's Office, as of 3:30pm Friday afternoon, the suspects were not caught. Detectives with the Acadia Parish Sheriff's Office are investigating the incident.
