One man shot while riding bicycle in Scott

LAFAYETTE, LA (EVEN News)- Police are investigating a shooting that occurred on Tuesday morning in Lafayette Parish. The incident occurred in the 900 block of Janvier Rd, right by Whitmore Rd, near Scott.

Reports say a man was shot while riding his bicycle. He landed in the ditch after being shot.

61-year-old James McMillian was taken into custody on a $250K bond for attempted second-degree murder and $5K for illegal carrying of a weapon.
