One injured in vehicle crash on I-49 near Carencro

Police are on the scene of a vehicle crash on I-49 near Exit 4, just north of Carencro, that occurred on Thursday evening. One man was severely injured.

Reports say that the victim was fixing his tire near the roadway when a truck's mirror hit him.

The man was transported to a local hospital with severe injuries, reportedly.

Crews were able to clear the roadway quickly, so there are no closures.
