LAFAYETTE, La (ENN)-- One man is dead after a fatal shooting in Lafayette on Thursday evening.
Lafayette Police officers responded to the parking lot of a business located at 1332 SW Evangeline Thruway around 7:40pm in reference to reports of shots being fired at this location.
When officers arrived on scene, they located a male victim seated inside a vehicle on the private lot, suffering from several gunshot wounds to his body. Lafayette Police officers immediately rendered medical aid to the male victim, however, he succumbed to his injuries and died at the location.
Police are still investigating the shooting. There is no suspect information available at this time, and the investigation is ongoing.
