Morgan Wallen cancels show 5 minutes before intended open after losing his voice

OXFORD, MS- Country music star Morgan Wallen canceled his show in Oxford, Mississippi just 5 minutes before the concert was supposed to begin.

Thousands flocked to the Vaught-Hemingway Stadium on Sunday to see Morgan Wallen perform, but to their surprise, a message was displayed on the screens, stating that Wallen had "lost his voice" and is "unable to perform tonight."

"Ladies and gentlemen, unfortunately, Morgan has lost his voice and is unable to perform tonight - therefore tonight's show has been canceled," the screen read.

Thousands of concert-goers have posted on social media, expressing their disappointment. "What a loser," one fan wrote. Another fan even claimed that Wallen was "too drunk" to perform.

Wallen has since issued a statement, telling his fans that he tried "everything he could" to fix the issue, but unfortunately, his voice was "shot."

"After last night’s show I started losing my voice so I spent the day resting up, talking to my doctor and working through my vocal exercises trying to get better. I really thought I’d be able to take the stage and it kills me to deliver this so close to showtime, but my voice is shot and I am unable to sing."

Although the disappointment of not being able to see Wallen perform remains, fans are being refunded for their purchase of tickets. "All tickets will be refunded at point of purchase," stated Wallen.
