Mobile home completely burn down in St. Landry Parish

SUNSET, La. (ENN) -- A mobile home in Sunset is completely destroyed due to a major fire.

The fire happened off of LA Hwy 178 (Pershing Hwy) in Sunset on Saturday afternoon.

Officials say that due to the property being inaccessible, they were unable to attempt to save the home. The only thing firemen were able to do was contain the fire; stopping it from spreading to surrounding areas, homes, etc.

No one was home at the time of the fire. At least one vehicle was lost in the fire. The cause of the fire is still being investigated.
