LAFAYETTE, La. (ENN) — Lafayette Police Department are investigating a major vehicle crash involving a pedestrian.
The crash occurred at around 10:18 pm in the 100 block of S. College Road as a the male pedestrian was walking in the northbound lane. The driver claimed to have not seen the pedestrian until it was “too late” and although she applied the brakes, she still struck the pedestrian.
The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital and sustained major facial fractures but police say he did not have any internal injuries.
The driver was transported to LPD and submitted a voluntary breath sample of 0.00g% BAC. This crash remains under investigation.
