Juvenile arrested in connection to Lafayette High bomb threat

Lafayette, LA – Lafayette Police Department was made aware of a threat, involving a planned bombing at Lafayette High School on Tuesday.


The school was evacuated and ULL’s bomb dog was brought in along with additional officers to do a thorough sweep of the school to ensure that no suspicious devices were on campus. 


At 10:20am, the school was cleared for students and faculty to return back to the building. 


A juvenile suspect, 17 years of age, was arrested on one count of Terrorizing and booked into the Lafayette Juvenile Detention Home.
