Lafayette, LA – The I-10 Eastbound bridge at the Evangeline Thruway will be closed for the remainder of the night and two out of the three northbound lanes of Evangeline Thruway after an 18-wheeler traveling Northbound on the Evangeline Thruway struck the bridge, causing structural damage.
Eastbound traffic on I-10 is being diverted southbound on I-49, but police are asking motorists to avoid the area if possible.
