Firemen respond to residential fire in Carencro

CARENCRO, La (EVEN) - Firemen responded to a house fire in Carencro on Friday night around 8pm.

Carencro Fire Department, along with the Scott, Lafayette, Prairie, and Arnaudville fire departments responded to the fire at 105 Simon Latour Road.

When crews arrived, they discovered a shop engulfed in flames. The fire had also spread to the home. The home received heavy fire damage to half the home and heavy smoke damage to the entire home.

Everyone got out safely, and no one was injured. The cause of the fire remains under investigation
