CROWLEY, La (ENN)-- One man was arrested by the Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office on Friday in connection with a drug investigation.

Officials say that during the investigation, deputies confirmed that a large amount of narcotics was being transported in the city of Crowley. Deputies were able to detain Joseph and conduct a search of the vehicle involved in this case. This search led to the recovery of over 24 pounds of Methamphetamines. The street value of this seizure was over $200,000.

Joseph was arrested and booked into the Acadia Parish jail; charged with possession with the intent to distribute Methamphetamines, possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of legend drugs and illegal window tint.

“This is a large amount of Methamphetamines that was intended for the streets of our parish. I appreciate the work of our deputies as we continue to battle this continuous problem” stated Sheriff KP Gibson.
