Bicyclist struck by vehicle in Acadia Parish

UPDATE: The family of the bicyclist reached out to EVEN News, Mire News, and told us that the bicyclist is being kept sedated in the ICU. Please say a prayer for this bicyclist and his family.

ACADIA PARISH- A bicyclist was struck by a vehicle on LA HWY 95, aka Mire Hwy, near Ozark Drive. State police confirmed that the bicyclist was critically injured. It was confirmed that the bicyclist was bicycling on a red 3- wheel bike.

Acadia Parish Sheriffs Office, and Louisiana State Police responded to the scene, along with Mire Volunteer Fire Department (first responders)

The bicyclist was transported by ambulance to a Air-Med nearby, and taken to a hospital.
