2 teens wounded in shooting in Lafayette on Wednesday evening


LAFAYETTE, LA (EVEN News)- At around 6:42 pm on Wednesday evening, officers with the Lafayette Police Department responded to a shooting in the 2300 block of Moss Street.


Once on scene, officers located two juvenile victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Both victims are listed in stable condition and have been transported to a local hospital for treatment of their injuries.


Investigation at the scene revealed that the victims were in a parking lot located in the 2300 block Moss Street when a verbal altercation ensued between the victims and occupants of an unknown vehicle. One of the occupants of the vehicle began to shoot in the direction of the victims striking them both before fleeing the area in an unknown direction.
