OPELOUSAS, La (ENN)-- St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Office deputies are looking for a 15-year-old boy after he escaped from jail.
Authorities say Dereon Freeman, 15, of Eunice, escaped from the jail around 8:15pm on Saturday evening. His last known direction of travel was west, towards the Eunice area.
Freeman is wanted for two counts of Attempted Homicide and should be "considered dangerous," police say.
Police describe the fugitive as a black male, 5 foot 3 inches tall, and weighing 120lbs with black hair and brown eyes.
The public is urged by authorities to be on alert and if they have any details or see Freeman, call 911.
