LAFAYETTE, LA (EVEN NEWS)- Lafayette Police responded to the area of Louisiana Avenue at Tenth Street in reference to a report of a shooting in progress on Tuesday evening.
When officers arrived, they located a 14-year-old male juvenile victim suffering from gunshot wounds to his upper body.
Through further investigation, it was learned that the male juvenile victim was a passenger inside of a vehicle, which was traveling through the area when the shooting occurred. The juvenile victim was transported to a local hospital, where he is being treated for non-life threatening injuries and is expected to make a full recovery.
Currently, there is no available suspect information.
