President Trump said he is banning TikTok from the United States with executive action by Saturday

President Trump told reporters Friday that he will act to ban TikTok, a chinese owned video app, as soon as Saturday. He made the comment while talking with reporters on Air Force One.

"As far as TikTok is concerned, we're banning them from the United States," Trump said.

TikTok is being banned, according to POTUS

Microsoft has communicated with the Chinese owners, ByteDance, in hopes to buy the app from them. President Trump rejected that spin-off deal.

The Trump Adminstration is worried that the Chinese could use the huge popularity with TikTok to spy on US citizens. US will not be the only country to ban TikTok as India banned TikTok as well.

Earlier this month, Secretary Mike Pompeo said the U.S. was looking into banning TikTok due to national security concerns.
