MVFD respond to oil well site in Acadia Parish producing a 'loud noise' early Tuesday morning

ACADIA PARISH, LA- Mire Volunteer Fire Department were on the scene of the oil well site located in the 3000 block of Tanner Road in Acadia Parish.

According to a post by the MVFD, the call was in reference to a relief valve producing a loud noise that many around the area were hearing late Monday night into early Tuesday morning.

Nearby residents also reported a strong gas smell.

As of 12:35AM, the scene is clear and secure.
