Governor Edwards says Louisiana will not enter Phase 3, staying in Phase 2 for 28 days.
John Bel Edwards announced in Monday’s press conference that Louisiana will stay in Phase 2, and not entering Phase 3 for 28 days. “A lot of people out there are saying they are done with this virus. Well, the virus isn’t done with us..” Gov. Edwards said Monday. The delay will remain for 28 days while state officials continue to observe state COVID-19 data. “...wear your mask. Keep socially distant from people who are not part of your immediate household, wash your hands, and stay home when you are sick. We need to pay particular attention to those at risk. We need to do a better job.” Edwards said. Louisiana was expected to move into Phase 3 sometime this week. - -
