LAFAYETTE, La. (ENN) — Lafayette Police found 3 deceased people in a residence in Lafayette on Friday afternoon after being called for a welfare check.
Police received the call in reference to a welfare concern, which was believed to be in regards to a missing man, Brandon Touchet, 45, of Lafayette. Police went to a residence in the 700 block of S. College Road. Officers arrived at the residence and attempted to make contact with Touchet.
Entry was made into the residence in attempts to locate Touchet. Upon entry, officers found three deceased bodies, including Touchet. The second victim was identified as Eric Green, 49, of Lafayette. The third has been identified as Elizabeth (Beth) Reames, 46, of Lafayette.
Police arrested Chad Credeur, 42, of Duson for his connection to the murders. He was charged with First Degree Murder and is booked currently in Jeff Davis parish. Officials say when he was arrested, they found some of the victim’s personal belongings in his possession.
According to police, all 3 victims and the suspect were “mutual friends.”
This comes following a brief search for Touchet, after his mother posted that he was missing and last heard from on Wednesday evening. According to her posts, Credeur (the suspect) and a female was seen leaving Touchet’s condo on his ring doorbell.
